Psalm 119:105

Happy New Year! May the Lord bless you as you seek Him this year! Each week I will update this blog with a scripture verse to memorize and a project reflecting that scripture. I will also include freebies for those of you that want to join in. At the end of the year, we should have 52 scriptures memorized and some great projects too! I wanted to kick things off with my first scripture and project. This is the scripture that is on my blog header and one that speaks to WHAT the Word IS. Below is the project I made with the elements I created.

"Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path". Psalm 119:105

I created the flowers, the lamp and the scripture tag. I took a picture of my Spanish/English Bible and a closeup photo of the verse. I used a cuttlebug corner die for the photo corners.

I print and hand cut out the scripture tag. I colored the flourish parts in with Gold Smooch. If you would like the FREE pdf file of this scripture tag, just become a follower of the blog and email me. I will gladly send it to you.

Close up of the flowers.
These started out as plain white flowers. I sponged a little Forest Green Glimmer Mist in the middle of each one. I then sponged some Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist on the outer parts of the petals. I used Chestnut Roan Cat's Eye Chalk Ink to ink the edges. I used some Frayed Burlap Distress Stickles for the centers. I will do a quick tutorial on these at some point soon.

Welcome

I am starting this blog so that I can scrap my faith. This is a place for me to share the awesome Word of God! I want to start actively scrapping my faith and at the same time make a concerted effort to memorize more of His word. As it says: I have hidden your Word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11
